A native of San Francisco, Fritz Clay brings an open minded, playful, and inclusive vibe to the sometime-intimidating world of professional hair care.  Built on his reputation from innovative work in both the fashion and entertainment industries and nearly 20 years of award winning techniques, Fritz has accumulated a client roster that is as diverse as the city that he calls home.  As he happily acknowledges, “my salon discriminates against no one.”



In order to make good on his promise of catering to everyone, Fritz has cultivated  a set of hairstyling techniques that seem to laugh in the face of traditional hair care while producing results that have made his name a legend in the industry.  Fritz is equally in his element applying highlights for a natural blonde as he is applying a relaxer to an afro.  This phenomenal range of ability combined with his real interest in and enjoyment of the personalities and image-related needs of his clients makes his holistic approach work with an ease and grace that is unprecedented.

 

Over the years, Fritz has been able to accumulate and train a team of expert stylists, aka Hair Players, who share and help manifest his vision. Together, they make up Hair Play Salon and as the name suggests, Fritz believes that everyone should enjoy and have fun with their hair.
